In Terrace Bay, Phone 825-3286 al ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION LADIES MEET Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223 held their meeting February 19, 1967. President, D. Coupal opened the meeting with twenty members present. New member, Mrs. P. Jones was installed and greeted warmly by all mem- - bers. Minutes were read by Secretary D. Ballentine and correspondence was also read. Mrs. J. Mercier reported on sick and visiting, cards sent to Mrs. L.Hopper, Mrs. A.MacFadyen and a donation to the Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. C.Bajkeiwicz's father. A report on the March of Dimes was read by Mrs. W .Corrigan. Marching Mothers collected a total of $129.88, with a balance to come from K-C company. Treasurer's report was read and member- Hose Ah Lhot- Ross K. Gilbert Press. Operator London, Ontario ship dues can now be renewed for 1967. A Chip Blitz report has been completed and a cheque will be given to the Navy League. A discussion took place on the Centennial program and President D. Coupal asked members to make up a Centennial Committee of three, Mrs. E.Boyd, Mrs. P.Jones and Mrs. D.Bougie. Anyone may attend these meetings for their own interest and participation in any project is welcomed. Two members have been appointed to attend the Legion Convention being held at the Lakehead, March I7. A penny auction has been planned to be held at the Legion Hall, February 26 at 8 p.m. Voucher draw winner was Mrs. E. Hamann, the lucky ticket being drawn by Mrs. P. Jones.
