We could not let the occasion pass without some recognition and after a bit of fun and nonsense we had the pleasure of seeing Mr .Sig Erickson pres- ent Mr.Crandlemire with an electric watch to mark the event and a corsage of white carnations to his good wife, Nellie, presented by Mrs.Jack Phillips . An original poem 'Ode to a Veteran' composed by Lew Edmunds was read. Later dancing and refreshments were enjoyed at the curling lounge. Music for the occasion was supplied by Mrs. Ellen Hodgkiss.
