Council accepted the report with a proviso that the recommendation re joining the Health Unit be investigated and a report on their decision given to Dr. McCausland. CURLING TROPHY PRESENTED AT BANQUET As a finale to the Northwestern Curling Play- downs held last week in Terrace Bay, the local ladies club sponsored a banquet in the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel. President Mrs. Ollie Chapman: welcomed those present, congratulated the winners , a Kenora rink skipped by June Shaw with Shirley Wiebe, Dorothy Holmgren and Joan Lecain. She wished them continued success in their bid for the Canadian Championships and congratulated the new N.W.O.L.C.A. president, Mrs. Mary Wickstrom of Fort Frances ,on her appointment.
