LEBLANC - CEBRARIO NUPTIALS The marriage of Georgette Anastasia, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur D.LeBlanc, and Paul Joseph Cebrario, son of Mrs. J.M.Cebrario and the late Mr .Cebrario all of Schreiber was solemnized in a double ring ceremony in Holy Angels' Roman Catholic Church, Schreiber by Rev.J.M.Cano, on January 21 at eleven o'clock. Giovanni Cebrario sang Jesus Thou Art Coming, On This Day, and Ave Maria with Mrs.Marco Eusebi as organist. The groom was attended by his brother Bart, best man; and Joe Figliomeni and Edward Duffy grooms- men. Ushers were David LeBlanc , brother of the bride, and Jimmy Duffy. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in silk organza over taffeta, floor length, with full skirt ornamented with medallions of Guipere lace. The basque bodice had the same lace outlining the round neckline and a panel of lace extended dow the front and into cascade of the skirt. The sleeves were slimly-fitted and a draped bow accented the basque in the back. Her four-tier veil was held by a pearl tiara and she carried Talisman roses. There were three bridal attendants , her sister Miss Lois LeBlanc, maid of honor ; Miss Patricia Potvin and Miss Sherry Condie bridesmaids. They were gowned alike in beige crepe sheaths, with Empire waistlines, and bodices of moss green velvet. The sleeves were elbow length with belled lace cuffs. The necklines scooped in front and deeply V'd in the back. Small feather hats had flyaway veils, their slippers were moss qgreen and they carried yellow butterfly glads. Following the ceremony a luncheon was given in the Guild Hall where the bride's mother received in a shocking pink two piece model, velvet hat in matching shade, black accessories and a corsage of pink and white carnations. The groom's mother who assisted in receiving chose a bronze brocade dress with satin petal hat in brown with matching accessories. Her corsage was yellow roses. Gino Caccamo was M.C. and the toast to the bride was given by Bart Cebrario. In the evening the community was welcomed by parents of the bride and groom at a wedding dance in the town hall. Mr.&Mrs. Cebrario left by car for a honeymoon in California. INTER-FAITH SERVICE HELD A notable event marking Centennial year took place January 25th when 600 attended the first inter-faith service in Schreiber held in the high school auditorium. Rev.J.M.Cano, of Holy Angels' Roman Catholic Church led the service with Rev.C.E.Prinselaar of St.Andrew's United Church and Rev.R.J.S.Inshaw, rector of St.Mary's Anglican Church, Nipigon and priest of St. John's Anglican Church Schreiber, also taking part. Passages from the Scripture were read and prayers were led by all three with Rev. Prinselaar playing for the opening hymn" The Church's One Found= ation." Rev.Inshaw gave the sermon and chose as his text "And they were all in accord in one place " Here on this important occasion, said Mr.Inshaw,," history is repeating itself, when people gather to worship in peace, happiness and a desire for mutual understanding. And never could such a gathering have been more significant, in our great land of plenty than in Canada's Centennial year. God made all his creatures different but let us look upon each other with eyes of love, in the words of St.Paul, "that we might be one in Jesus Christ". Let us thank God that we live in a place of free- dom to worship as we choose, The Terrace Bay Men's Choir under the direction of Bert Lohr accompanied by Mrs.A.N .Chisholm sang two numbers "Rise Up O Man of God" and "Let There Be M usic". The spirit of the service was indicated in Rev. Cano's closing remarks which he began "My dear people of Schreiber - going on to express the clergy's appreciation of the large number attending commending the many child-en for their exemplary | behavior and thanking the Terrace Bay Men's (cont'd on Page 14)
