The tests consisted of pedalling a cycle machine which not only recorded heart rate but could be adjusted to various work loads thus determining the physical capacity of each testee. These boys and girls were chosen from Grade 2-8. Across Canada children are to be tested from age 7-I7. Sponsored by the Canadian Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation, the tests will be carried out across the country, and the results will help to evaluate the physical health of our youth.
