VOWS EXCHANGED IN HOLY ANGELS CHURCH Holy Angel's Roman Catholic Church, Schreiber, was the secene October 29, of the marriage of Mary Ann Collin, daughter of Mrs.Florence Dubord and the late Philip Dubord of Red Rock and Herman Comeau of Schreiber, son of Mr.and Mrs.Onezame Comeau of Greenpoint, N.B. Bronze and gold mums graced the altar for the double ring ceremony with Rev. J.M.Cano officia- ting. Given in marriage by Mr.Joe Therrien of Nichol- son, Ontario, the bride wore a short gown of gold taffeta and lace, the lace used as an overlay on the fitted bodice which was styled with round neck and elbow length sleeves. Soft pleats controlled the semi-full skirt and back interest was created by a panel of self material which was held by a large gold taffeta rose and extended to the hemline. A tiny pearl. crown held her circular veil of nylon net and she carried a cascade of Talisman roses. Match- ing shoes and gloves completed her ensemble. The bride had two attendants, Mrs.Jerry Paquette as Matron of Honor and Mrs.Brian Webb, niece of the groom, as bridesmaid. Mrs.Paquette wore a taffeta sheath in salmon pink styled with deeply scooped neckline and elbow length sleeves. A detachable overskirt of pink nylon featured an ap- plique of roses in the same color and was fastened | at the waist front by a small bow. Her headress was a matching flyaway veil held by a cluster of pink satin roses and she carried a cascade of bronze car- nations. She wore matching shoes and gloves. The bridesmaid's gown was a street length taffeta sheath in Capri blue with round neck and three quar- ter sleeves. A blue taffeta rose held her white fly- away veil and she carried a cascade of yellow mums. Matching shoes and gloves completed her ensemble. Groomsmen were Jerry Paquette of Chapleau and Brian Webb of Schreiber and the ushers were Ivan Martin and Lorenzo Lavigne of Schreiber. At a wedding breakfast in the Schreiber Hotel the toast to the bride was given by Mr.Lorenzo Lavigne. A reception was held in the afternoon in the Town Hall and a dance was held in the evening. The bride's mother received in a three-piece silk brocade suit dress in light blue with black acces- sories and a corsage of pink roses. The groom's two sisters, Mrs.Ken Steffler of Canfield, Ont., and Miss Simone Comeau of Lakeview, Ont., received, | the former wearing a blue wool sheath with black TERRACE BAY NEWS November 3, 1966 accessories and corsage of pink carnations and the latter in navy and white crepe, black accessories and corsage of pink carnations. When the couple left on a motor trip to Eastern Canada, the bride was wearing a three-piece suit in royal blue, black accessories and her corsage was of American Beauty roses. | On their return Mr.and Mrs.Comeau will make their home in Schreiber. Mrs .R.J.S.Inshaw received the guests at the Hal- lowe'en dessert tea and bazaar held by the evening group of St.John's Anglican Church on Saturday afternoon in the church hall. The tea table was centred by an arrangement of yellow and bronze mums flanked by tall yellow candles and the tea was poured by Mrs.J.D.Bryson and Mrs. T.H. Bottomley. The servitors were Mrs.Geoff Birch, Mrs.Ralph Morrill and the Misses Heather Tremblay and Jane Bailey. Mrs.George Birch and Mrs.Ted Wilson looked after the bazaar table and home baking was sold by Mrs. Jack Bryson and Mrs.Reg.Bailey. Re- plenishers were Mrs.A.W.Slater and Mrs. R.E.Gray. Mrs. Jack Corbett was in charge of tickets. Mrs.Helen Souliere, bride-elect of Nov.5, was honored by her friends at a shower held in the Guild Hall. Receiving with the bride-elect were her mother, Mrs.Joseph Campbell, her fiancee's mother, Mrs.P.J.LeBlanc and Mrs.Leonard Huard. The tea was poured by Mesdames Arthur LeBlanc, Harvey McCanna, Herbert Gellert and Mrs. Thomas Bolan. Mrs .Russell Weaver, Jr., and Mrs.Gerald Thrower were dining room hostesses. The guests were served at individual tables deco- rated with pink and white streamers and centred with rose bowls with floating pastel candles. The servitors were Mesd. Edgar Ray, Earl Welbourne, B.H.Morrow Jas.Smith, John Spikula, Ken Himes and Miss Georg ette LeBlanc. Miss Lenore Campbell circulated the guest book and Mrs. Bill Campbell and Mrs .Bob Campbell attended the gift table. Mesdames J.P.Gauthier, W.Gerow, T.Webb, C .Perras, J.Maclsaac, David Nesbitt and Robin Moore replenished.
