LIBRARY BOARD HOLD BUSINESS MEETING H.M.Ermel presided for the September meeting of the Library and the secretary-treasurer, Miss G. Hadley, reported renewing insurance and that, due to a misunderstanding, the books high school students require for English reading, have been delayed but are expected soon. The N'western Regional Library system sent a form to be used in nominating people to fill two vacancies on their board. Holiday pay was granted to Mrs.Andrea Hill due to service as lib rarian. Payment was mainly for indexing books. Bookmobile exchange will be made on Sept.22nd. The Ontario Hospital Careers kit, of interest to girls, was ordered and the Americana subscription renewed. A letter of appreciation was sent to Town Council for the spacious new quarters provided for the Library. Quotations on adjustable shelves are to be solicited. A proposed Art Contest for Centennial Year (for school children) was dis- cussed, with final plans to be made later. Flags of Canada and provinces were ordered.
