TERRACE BAY NEWS ie 1966 GENERAL MOTORS PRESENTS NEW MODELS The trim size and orisp lines of the 1967 Acadien are em- phasized by this Canso sport coupe. A number of styling changes enhance Acadian's appearence, including « new grille, new rectaguler parking lights set inboard of the headlights right in the grille, 2 modified deck lid and new ornamenta- tion and trip. The 1967 Acadian lineup offers three series and a choice of 18 handsome Magic Mirror colors, 13 of them new. Standard engines, depending on model, are the Econofleme 120-hp 6 or 195-hp V8. Extra-cost options for 1967 are an Eoonoflame 155-hp six or e Super-Econoflame 275-hp V8, with four-berrel carburetion. Outstanding new safety features for 1967, stenderd equip- ment on all Acedians, include the Gi-developed energy-absorb- ing steering column which telescopes up to 8-4 inches. All '67 Buicks have undergone major restyl- ing. Wildcat, Le Sabre and Electra 225 all have new bodies featuring an attractive new side appearance with a contoured line. Specisl effort has been made to give each #67 Buick series its own distinguishing features. The Sportwagon has been restyled with a new horizontal grille and, as an option, an entirely new side treatment of simulated wood grain panel- ling. Besides important new safety features--such as the GM-developed steering column which telescopes--as standard equipment on all models, Buick offers a host of equipment options ranging from front wheel disc brekes (for power breke-equipped models) to a manual or automatic Four-Season climate contre] air conditioning system. Six engines range from s 160-hp V6 to a new 430 cu. in. 360-hp V.8.. Styling changes emphasize the lean, clean contemporary lines of popular Beaumont for 1967 exemplified by the Custom sport coupe (above). New features include new hood and fen- ders, rear panels and new grille and headlights exclusive to Beaumont. Front and rear bumper bars have also undergone styling changes. Available in two series--Beaumont and Custom--and in nine models, Beaumont is availeble with many options and acces- sories, including front diso brakes on all power breke~-equip ped models. A luxury "sports option", available at extra cost on Custom Sport coupe and Custom convertible only, in- cludes Strato bucket front seats, centre floor console with either 4-speed or automatic transmission. Engines available for Beaumont range from an Econoflame 140-hp six up to an Econo-Jet 350-hp V8. The latter is available only on Cus- tom models with the "sports option". Many new standard safety features include the GM-developed energy-ebsorbing ateering column. The Grande Parisienne sport coupe (above exemplifies the new elegance in styling achieved throughout the 1967 Pontiac line, which also includes a brand new series, the big and powerful 2 + 2, with an international sporting flavour. Luxurious Grande Parisienne has a completely re- designed front end, "hidesway" lights, and sleeker roof- line. Popular Parisienne has a new, distinotive graceful silhouette. The Leurentian and Strato-Chief series feature deep, massive wraparound bumpers, curved side windows and over-and-under headlights. A wide choice of color-keyed interior trim is available on all Pontiacs. Many important new safety features ere standard equip- ment on all 1967 models, including the GM-developed energy absorbing steering colum which telescopes up to 8 + inches Depending on model chosen, the Astro-Six 155-hp and Strato-Flesh 195-hp V8 standard on Grande Perisienne are standard engines for 1967 Pontiacs. Optional, extra-cost engines are an Astro-Flame 275-hp V8, Astro-Jet 325-hp v8 and Jet-Flame 385-hp V.8.
