Mr.and Mrs.R.Nygaard and family with Mrs .Ny- gaard Sr., spent their vacation in Gimley, Man. Judy Lynn Kusobac of Fort William is visiting her aunt and uncle, Mr.and Mrs.Jim Kostecki. Mrs.Joe Sloane of Mitchell and Ray Caldwell of Ottawa have driven to Kenora with Mrs .Hugh Stewart to attend the funeral of their sister Mildred, Mrs.Claude McVeigh. Miss Juanita Stewart of Port Arthur visited the Stewart families recently. Mr.and Mrs.Dick Remillard and family and Mr. and Mrs.Peter Lloyd and family of Sault Ste .Marie camped with Mr.and Mrs .Oscar Laine at White Sand Lake. Mr.and Mrs.Laine also attended a Shriner's Convention in Duluth. Rev.and Mrs.R.J.Inshaw are visiting their family and other relatives in Toronto. Mrs.Bruce Lidkea is in Terrace Bay Hospital . Mr.and Mrs.Bill Schwank and Mr.and Mrs .George Lee with daughter France, visited Mr .and Mrs.L. R.McCuaig enroute from Sault Ste.Marie to their home in Atikokan. Irene and Fredelle Shapiro visited their cousin Judy Parent. While they were here Mrs . Parent entertained twelve friends of her daughter Darlene to celebrate her seventh birthday . Mrs .Harry Martinsen, proprietor of Mary's Flower Shop has returned after spending a week attending florist meetings in Toronto, London, Brampton, Barrie and Sault Ste.Marie. Miss Lorraine Fournier was honored by friends at a shower tea arranged in the home of Mrs Sanford Chicoine when Miss Giselle Chicoine and Miss Sheila Weaver were hostesses. Miss Chicoine re- ceived with Miss Fournier and her mother, Mrs. Robert Fournier. Mrs.George Walsh was dining room hostess and the tea was poured by Mrs. Stanley Kusik and Mrs.Gary Drake, Mrs.Tom Webb and Mrs Herbert Gellert. Servitors were the Misses Crystal Kusik, Anna Fummerton, Roxanne Hill, Evelyn and Jan Fournier. Replenishing were Mesdames Jim Speziale and S.Chicoine and Miss Rose Huard. Miss Weaver opened the gifts for display and Peggy Fournier was in charge of the guest book. Ken Davis and Mrs .Bill Lidkea have received a copy of the Ottawa Citizen containing a lengthy interview with their sister, Squadron Leader Lois Davis who began her career as an airwoman in 1942 and served in various fields before demobilizing in 1946. She rejoined in 1951 as Flying Officer and occupied different administrative positions in Can- ada and overseas before her Nov.1965 Ottawa appointment. She goes to Marveille, France short- ly on an inspection and later this fall with Nato on another overseas mission. Harry Martinsen and son Ken accompanied his wife East, visiting relations and sightseeing .
