JIM WILSON DECLARED FRECKLE KING Jim Wilson was named King of Freckles and Ann Stokes Queen of Freckles in the Legion Field Day contest by judges Beth Macadam and Barbara Ann McCuaig. Mrs.Tony Graham of Fort William and Mrs .Wilfred McLaughlin of London were judges in the children's parade costumes, awarding prizes for fancy dress to Marilyn Hawke and Michael Spillane; for trikes to Peter Ferland; for bikes to Doug Ross and Diane Dietrich; for prams to Sheryl Lynn Johnson and Louise Morin; for original to Judy Parent and Irene Shapiro (couple) and Lennie Winters. Mrs. Alice Chepelsky, R.N., and Mrs.Dorothy Rummery, judges for the baby show, awarded prizes as follows:- 1 - 6 months, Tommy Cenerelli and Donny Weaver; 6 - 9 months Debra Rigelsford; 9 - 12 months Carol Himes and Cheryl Smith. Mr.and Mrs.Walter Murphy are visiting their daughter Pat (Mrs .Brian Stewart) and family in Dun- can, B.C. Mr .and Mrs .Ray Caldwell of Ottawa visited last week with Mr.and Mrs.Hugh Stewart, enroute to Kenora. Mr .and Mrs.Melville Stanzel and baby, of Lon- don, visited her mother and sister, Mrs.Joe Cebrario and Mrs.Pat Mulligan and other relatives in town. Mr .and Mrs .Bill Furlonger left for Vancouver where Mr .Furlonger is local delegate to a Railway Carmen's Convention. Tea was poured by Mrs.Ernest Willoughby and Mrs. Robt.Campbell, Mrs.W.J.Thrower and Mrs . John Santerre. STEWART HARPER BURIED IN SCHREIBER The funeral of the late Stewart Harper, aged 63, 'whose death occurred August |4,, was conducted by Rev. R.J.S.Inshaw in St.John's Anglican Church on August 17. Mrs.Inshaw was organist and the hymns chosen were The Old Rugged Cross and Oh for a Closer Walk With Thee.
