NGl.. ts No.3] Serving the District August 4, 1966 PRE-HOLIDAY ACCIDENT CLAIMS ONE LIFE Survivors of the two-car head on collision at Ripple, twenty-th ree miles east of Terrace Bay, are still in hospital, all in serious condition. The crash, which claimed the life of thirty-four year old Mrs.Melvin Thall, occurred Thursday morning early. The accident involved an east-bound station wagon (shown above) and a pick-up truck from Ig- nace. It is thought that conditions were foggy, with limited visibility. Mr .Thall and his daughters, Catherine 10, and Sonia 8, were rushed to Port Arthur General Hos- pital after emergency treatment at Terrace Bay. All are suffering from fractures and internal injuries and are in a serious condition. The fifth member of the Thall family, Eric 14, is still in hospital in Terrace Bay. (Continued page 4 ....) THIS WEEK'S SAFETY SLOGAN "THE TIME TO BE CAREFUL IS NOW!" Draws commence this week in Kimberly-Clark's Expo '67 Safety Contest. Names will be drawn from the drum into which the names of each Kim- berly-Clark employee will be placed every month the entire Mill works without a disabling injury. Weekly prizes will go to five employees who know the Safety Slogan for the week. The monthly draw for prizes yet to be announced will start September Ist. Hourly employees can earn bonus chances every four months. When a department cuts in half their average accident rate for the past five years, each hourly employee in that department will get his name in the drum eight extra times. ont'd Page 4) I
