August 4, 1966 SERVICES HELD FOR W.VERNON WEAVER The funeral of the late W.Vernon (Chuck) Weaver, whose death occurred on July 26th was conducted by Rev. C.E.Prinselaar in St.Andrew's United Church in Schreiber on July 29. Miss Diane Rummery was organist and hymns sung were 'Just As | Am' and 'Unto The Hills'. The honorary pallbearers were Bill Randa, Bill Thrower, Nelson Smith, Clarence Bangs, Barclay McCuaig and Lester McCuaig. Active bearers were Walter Murphy, Bill Gerow, Charlie Pearson, Jack McCouan, Russell Campbell and John Peter- son. Interment was in Schreiber cemetery. Attending the service from out of town were, with his widow, his sons and their wives, Mr.and Mrs .Wallace Weaver, and their son Donny of Kam- loops, B.C., Mr.and Mrs.Gerald Weaver, Arcata, California, Mr.and Mrs .Robert Weaver, Terrace Bay, his daughter Doreen, Mrs.Hugo Caccamo and her son Guy, of Fort William, Mr.and Mrs. Arnold Almos (brother-in-law) and many friends from Terrace Bay; Mr.and Mrs. C.Bangs, John Peterson, Walter Barr, Jack Whent, Mr.and Mrs. Cecil Fummerton, of Fort William. Anne Noonan has returned from Toronto where she flew to visit her cousins Celie Ann and Roberta Wraith and Ellen Gordon. George Connors of Sudbury visited his daughter, Mrs.Neil Bottomley and family, enroute this week to Superior, Wisc. Mr .and Mrs.D.Harrison have returned from their vacation spent in Manitoulin, Toronto and other points in the east. Mr .and Mrs. Bill Whent, with grandsons Kenny, Terry and Danny, are holidaying in North Bay, Toronto, Sault Ste.Marie and other points east. Mr .and Mrs.Cec Freeborn of Fort William spent the weekend with Mr.and Mrs.Harry Martinsen. Mr .and Mrs .Frank Labarre and baby Adrian, of Winnipeg, are visiting the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. V .Speziale. Mr .and Mrs .Cosimo Figliomeni and family, Mrs. Sam Arite and son Tony and Mr.Tony Artie of Toledo are the guests of Mr.and Mrs .Frank Figlio- meni - here to attend the Figliomeni-Thorsteinsen wedding. Mr.and Mrs.D'Arcy Wilson have bought a new home in Fort William and will take up residence THE NEWS Page 14 f there this week with their two sons. Her two grandmothers collaborated on Kim Mgr- shall's 4th birthday party. Mrs.Joe Campbell was hostess for the party for fourteen lively guests and Mrs .Bill Gerow made the birthday cake. Kim is here from Fort William with her parents, Mr.and Mrs. Dwight Marshall . Mr .and Mrs.J.Maddmes and their son Rob visited Mr .and Mrs. Bill Furlonger last week . Mrs .Edna Sutherland of Regina and her sister Mrs. Henry Davis of Fort William are visiting their brother Jim Ford and the Ken Davis and Bill Lidkea families. Mr.and Mrs.Garnet Jewell and baby of Windsor are visiting their parents, Mr .and.Mrs.John Inshaw and daughter, of Toronto, are visiting Rev.and Mrs. Inshaw. Mrs.Earl McCouan of Windsor is the guest of Mrs. George Burns. Mr.and Mrs. Bill Gerow returned from vacation bringing with them grandchildren Brad and Tracy Wcinikka of Montreal who will also visit grandpar- ents, Mr.and Mrs.Walter Wainikka. Mr.and Mrs .Cliff Dimmery and daughters have re- turned from holidays spent in Calgary, Banff, Vic- toria and other points. Miss Marilyn Falkner of Aurora is the guest of Mrs. Ernest Willoughby. Miss Falkner is with the Child Evangelism movement. M:.and Mrs.Jack Stokes and family are visiting relations in Toronto. Lloyd Falmer, his sons and nephews of Port Credit are local visitors. Mr.and Mrs.Bob Wood and three children, of Port Arthur, are visiting Mr.and Mrs. Bruce Lidkea. Mr .and Mrs. Wilfred McLaughlin (Barbara McCuaig with son Mitchell, of London, Ontario and Mr.and Mrs .Bruce Myers of Clio, Michigan, are visiting Mr cand Mrs.Norman McCuaig. Mr .and Mrs.Donald Bruce of Edmonton are visiting friends here. Mrs.Gladys Madigan has her mother and sister, Mrs.W.A.Madigan and Miss Dawn Madi- gan of Point au Barrow, visiting her.
