WEDDING VOWS EXCHANGED IN COMMUNITY CHURCH The Altar in Terrace Bay Community Church was decorated with multi-coloured gladiolus and stephanotis on Saturday, July 16, 1966, when Gail Wood, eldest daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Clifford H.Wood of Terrace Bay became the bride of Larry Roy Stacey, son of, Mr.and Mrs. John E.Stacey of Mitchell, Ontario Rev. Michael Skibinski officiated at the ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white peau de soie formal gown with Princess neckline and long sleeves. Scalloped lace applique adorned the neckline, skirt and hemline and a seven foot lace trimmed train fell from the shoulders. Her headdress was a cluster of white tulle and satin lilies with crystal droplets and held a veil of shoulder length tulle. She carried a cascade bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and English ivy. The Matron of Honor, Mrs. Doug.Caldwell and the Brides- maids, Miss Elaine Rajotte and Miss Sharon Stacy, the groom's, sister, wore sleeveless full length gowns of antique blue peau de soie with princess necklines, empire waistlines trimmed at the bodices with tailored bows. Wedding ring headdresses and veils matched the gowns and they carried bouquets of miniature gladiolus and forgetmenots. Flower girl Elizabeth Wood, sister of the bride, was dressed in lace covered blue peau de soie with empire waist- line. She wore a wedding ring headpiece with veil to match the dress. The soloist, Miss Jo-Anne Brown was accompanied by her sister, Miss Donna Brown, as she sang 'Wherever Thou Goest? and 'Because*. MHestman was the groom's brother Ren Stacey and ushers were the bride*'s brother, Ken Wood and Dale Bell, the latter of Brechin, Ontario. At a reception held in the Terrace Bay Curling Club the bride's mother received in a beige lace two piece dress with brown and white accessories. The groom's mother chose a two piece yellow linen suit with lace trim. Both had white feathered carnation corsages.. A toast to the bride was proposed by Mr. H.Coe and the wedding cake was cut by Mrs.Arnold MoKechnie. Leaving on a honeymoon trip to the East the bride wore a beige dress and paisley coat of linen with beige and white accessories and corsage of white roses.
