Nd THE SCHREIBER NEWS June 23, THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SCHREIBER reali weet kh eS DAYLIGHT SAVING -- JULY 1ST TO SEPT .5, 1966 On a recent opinion poll it is the consensus desire of the citizens of Schreiber to institute Daylight Saving Time. The Township Council hereby decrees that Daylight Saving Time be observed in the Township of Schrei- ber for the year 1966 commencing at 2 o'clock a.m. on Friday, July Ist and continuing until 2 o'clock a.m., on Monday, September 5th. Citizens are hereby requested to advance clocks and/or time pieces one hour at 2 o'clock a.m. on Sunday, July Ist and retard them one hour at 2 o'clock a.m., on September 5th. The Council thanks the citizens for the interest shown in the poll and respectfully request the whole- hearted support of all citizens in making a success of this time saving change for public b enefit. Dinner was served in St.John's Anglican Church hall after which the party went to the D.Q.Hamilton home for the evening when trophies were presented. Both the roll-off trophy and the league champion- ship cup were won by team No.4, captained by Gladys Madigan with Quent Hamilton, Bill and Lorraine Fadden, Bill and Helen Tripp and Lou Karns the other players. Ladies High Single was won by Lorraine Fadden-- men's high single by Quent Hamilton who also took the high average. Neil Bottomley won the high triple. A consolation prize was presented to June Eaton for low score and a special prize to Beverley Hamilton for the most improved player. President Bill Fadden will call a meeting later to elect officers for next year.
