JUNIOR BOWLING - Junior Bowling, under the instruction of Lew Edmunds, has been practicing feverishly in preparation for the Junior Bowling Tournament at Manitouwadge on June IIth. Our bowlers are the :youngest along the North Shore as their ages vary from I0 to 14. It is surprising to see the vast improvement in some of our young bow- lers. We are very thankful to Lew and Clarence Buck for the interest shown by them in instructing these up and coming youngsters. We should see a rapid increase and a good calibre of bowling after we get our automatic pinsetters installed. SWIMMING - The swimming Pool will open on Wednesday, June I5, weather permitting. Regis- tration forms for swimming are now being returned to the Recreation Office and we would like to have this completed by June 6th in order to finalize our classes for the summer. The schedule will be similar to that of last year. Wendy Duncan has been em- ployed as Swim Instructor for the summer. She has recently completed her Red Cross Instructor's Re- qualification Examination at the Lakehead. Wendy is well phased in swimming instruction and should do a remarkable job this summer. We would urge adults to enroll for swimming classes also. TENNIS COURTS - The tennis courts will be ready for use on Sunday, June 5th. This activity is open to all Recreation members.
