NEWS Page II April 7, 1966 THE NINETEEN JOIN COMMUNITY CHURCH At a Confirmation Service held on Palm Sunday in the Terrace Bay Community Church nineteen new members joined the Church, either through profession of faith or by transfer. Those joining were Lois Ann Fraser, Jane Kelty, Donna Chapman, the finest skilled medical care and. hospitalization; | if 'provides physiotherapy and the necessary braces, crutches, special chairs and other equipment; it provides summer camping and it provides the moral help a family needs as it faces a crisis in the life of a child and relieves the financial burden which otherwise would be intolerable. EASTER SEAL OBJECTIVE $1,200 The Easter Seal Campaign objective for the dis- tricts of Terrace Bay and Marathon is $1200. This is a modest amount to ask for the taking care of our unfortunate crippled children. To offer them an opportunity to live and play and 'work in as nor- mal a manner as is possible for them is the finest gift a community can bestow. Your contribution, given through the Easter Seals Campaign will pro- vide the crippled child with this chance to live. Your contribution provides the services of a dis- trict nurse who periodically visits the home of the child; it provides a Diagnostic Treatment Centre in Fort William; it provides transportation for a child and one parent or nurse to the Centre; it provides *JUNIOR PLAYGROUND LEADERS - Open to applicants 16 years of age and over who possess basic skills in the following: athletics - music - arts and crafts - and a high degree of leadership ability. PLAYGROUND VOLUNTEERS - Open to boys and girls 13 years of age and over who are willing to devote several hours of their time during the summer months working with young children on playground programmes. *ROLLER SKATING ATTENDANTS - For boys at least 14 years of age, to work three (3) nights per week during the summer months fastening roller skates and some main= tenance duties. *SWIMMING POOL CASHIERS - To be responsible for the admissions and checking system for clothing.
