Object of the scheme is to provide additional men and hose in the event of an uncon- trolable or major fire outbreak. The towns adjac- ent to the seat of the fire are to send men and hose to that municipality. During the time that firemen are out of town Terrace Bay would s**Il have pro- tection in case of fire from both its own equipment and that of the nearest township unaffected by the major outbreak . At the meeting Dr.M.McCausland presented the Health Report for 1965. The complete report is presented on page fifteen. Don Stewart presented a report on his recent trip to Toronto where he attended the Ontario Hydro- Electric convention. Among other business discussed was the confirmed appointment of R.Cormier as official dog catcher. Mr .Cormier will take up his duties immediately. Also discussed were speed restrictions on High- way No.|7 through the town and it was hoped that the new limits would be in force before the opening of the tourist season.
