SAVING TIME e question of Daylight Saving Time and its effect on commerce in Terrace Bay was raised once again at the month- ly meeting of the Chamber of Com- merce on March I7th. It was decided that President W. R.Bray should confer with Township Council in this regard. Among other matters discussed it was recommended that a letter be sent to the Department of High= ways regarding maintenance of the section of Highway No.I7 between Terrace Bay and Schreiber. A copy of this letter will also be sent to Hon.G.Wardrope, MPP for this district. Centennial Committee chairman, W.E.Cavanaugh, requested sug- gestions for a town souvenir. He thought that something to illustrate the town's gem symbol would be fitting. Approval was given for member- ship in the Ontario Chamber of adage "if you can't beat them-- join them." This year's proposed landscaping ax which will encompass the club oe Seer 2 SY house and adjacent tee-offs and greens, will greatly enhance this area. A large amount of this year's budget will be spent on fertil- izer to cover all the fairways and greens this spring. Each year we have witnessed an extensive im- provement to the course.
