SILVER BIRCH CHAPTER MEETS Silver Birch Chapter, No.264, Order of the Eastern Star, held their regular monthly meet- ing in the Temple Hall on Monday, March 14th at 8.00 P.M. with the Worthy Matron, Mrs. Flora Bryson and the Worthy Patron, Rev.T.G. Husser, presiding, Routine business was transacted and reports presented. At the close of the meeting a social hour was enjoyed and a delicious lunch was served convened by Marjorie Anderson assisted by Catherine Whitton, Gladys Wallwin and Helen Wallace. GOLF CLUB NEWS Members of the local golf club will be pleased to know that club storage will be available this year. The house purchased from the Dept.of Highways has been transported to its location and is undergoing conversion to a club house which will include washroom facilities, snack bar and pro shop. Last year's pro shop will be used for club storage. The clubhouse when completed, will be more than adequate for a few years. (Conttd P.4) Sam Chicoine, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, presents curling trophy to the Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge, Angus Fraser. TROPHY WON BY MASONIC LODGE The second annual bonspiel between the Schreiber-Terrace Bay Knights of Columbus and the Masonic Lodge was held here on Sat- urday, March 19th. A Masonic rink skipped by Charles Sitch, with Angus Fraser as third, H.Marsh aa second and R.Wills, lead, were victorious. The after noon of good fellowship was enjoyed by all.
