The draw for Minor Hockey was won by Chris Hewson with Jack Bryson drawing the ticket. The Schreiber-Terrace Bay Junior Hockey draw was won by Jim Figliomeni (first) and Cy Brassard (second). The draw was made at a game in Terrace Bay and a third draw is being planned. Winner of the Kinsmen Fuel Oil Draw was Mr. W .Paradis of Schreiber. The draw was made in Caccamo's Store with Mrs.H.N.Marsh pulling the winning ticket. Mrs.W.E.Woodrow, his grandmother, and Mrs. W.F .Lothian, his great aunt, of Ottawa, are here visiting Michael Woodrow and his parents, Mr.and Mrs . Bill Woodrow . Mrs.Leo Aber of Sudbury is here visiting her father George Duncan, who has been in Terrace Bay Hospital . Mrs .Lester McCuaig visited last week with her family in Toronto. Mrs .Ralph Morrill was in Toronto last week at- tending a Bell Telephone meeting, visiting also with Mr .and Mrs.Edson Morrill. Mrs .Alex McGregor is in McKellar Hospital . Mr .and Mrs .Lester McCuaig were in Fort William on Monday to attend the funeral of the former's brother Jack McCuaig, who died in Toronto on March I8th following a long illness. Father Antoine Myrand, R.C., who has been conducting the annual Mission Services in Holy Angels' Roman Catho- lic Church addressed the Catholic Women's League at their regular March meeting. Father Myrand spoke on the work of the Congregation of the Passionist Fathers. Final plans were made for the St. Patrick's supper in the Guild Hall. Members were asked to bring articles for the Cancer cupboard to the April meet- ing. Mrs. Joe Caccamo, Mrs.J.M.McGrath and Mrs. Bill Mullins were named as the nominating commit- fee; Mrs.D'Arcy McGuire, secretary, reported on the Schreiber Centennial meeting she attended and mem bers agreed to assist in the Old Home Re-Union planned for 1967. Citizenship Convenor Mrs.Harry Prescott, repor- ted seventeen members assisted with the very success ful March of Dimes project. Mrs.Joe Caccamo reported the recent bakeless bake sale had been successful and later stated she had sold ten new membership pins in the C.W.L. Mrs.J.M.McGrath asked members who had saved used postage stamps during the year to turn them in now for parcelling. Mrs.Stanley urged convenors to turn in annual re- ports before the end of March. Mrs.Gordon McParland read an article on the Spiritual benefit in being an Active Catholic Women|s League Member. She also asked for comic books to send to child patients in the Fort William San. A donation was made to the Sacred Heart program and members were thanked for their donations of used Christmas cards which are sent to mission fields where they are much appreciated. Mrs. Bill Cocks presided for the meeting. CANDIDATES INITIATED BY REBEKAH LODGE Three candidates were initiated by Degree Cap- tain Anna Laine into Ruby Rebekah Lodge #279 at their regular meeting Wednesday evening. A donation for rental of Lodge dishes was acknow- ledged and plans were made for a Spring Tea on April 30th. Mrs. Mavis Slater, PNG, reported on the Cen- tennial meeting which she and Mrs.Wesley Clemens PNG, had attended. It was agreed to join other groups on the project. The Vice-Grand reported making two sick calls, sending flowers to shut-ins and also sending a sym- pathy card. Mrs. Mary Husband, N.G., and Mrs.Bern Whent, V.G., were in charge of the meeting. Initiation will also follow the next meeting on March 23rd. A Prairie mayor is proposing that some cities get to- gether and buy a few of those railway dayliners and run them as civic enterprises. The dayliners. likely could be bought, cheap. The railway that has been trying to make a success of them might be willing to sell.
