IN DISCUSSION MEETING Mrs. 1.Brown presided at the monthly meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary which was held at the Com- munity Church, Monday evening, March 7th. Correspondence was read by the secretary, Mrs. J .Schritt and the treasurer's report was given by Mrs.K.Turner. Sick and Visiting Convenor Mrs.S.Lundberg, Property Convenor Mrs.D.Thompson and Ways and Means Convenor Mrs.W.Kurylo, gave their reports. After the business meeting concluded members of the Catholic Women's League joined in the program. Mrs.A.Chisholm accompanied the opening hymn. A worship period was led by Mrs.J.Schritt assisted by Mrs.N .Coe. Mrs. W.Farrell introduced the guest speakers for the evening, Very Rev.Dean E.A.Gallagher and Rev .Husser. Father Gallagher gave a resume of the second Ecumenical Council and the many changes which are taking place in the Catholic Church. Follow- ing this address Father answered questions pertaining to the reading of the Bible, Confession, abortion, with special explanations on the stand that the C tholic Church takes in this delicate subject. Father also told the ladies that now that part of the Mass is being said in English, the congregation now joins in the singing of the hymns. The president thanked the guests for a very infor- mative evening and lunch was served by Mrs.S. CH Robt Beh oR ST. SKI CLUB NEWS The Terrace Bay Ski Club will hold its annual Club Championships on Saturday, March |9th, starting at 2 P.M. There will be Slalom, Downhill and combined events in the following classes: junior girls and junior} boys - intermediate girls and intermediate boys - senior women and senior men. Registration will close at the club house on Friday, March [8th at 10.00 P.M. Those who have already registered need not do so again. There will be pleasure skiing as usual on the Horseshoe and Rabbit Runs. All runs are in excellent shape and with the milder temperatures, it is a perfect time to take up the sport. Come out and enjoy yourself while we still have a few more weeks of wonderful spring skiing. BE SKIING YOU !! CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEETING THURSDAY A meeting of the Chamber of Commerce will be held in the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre on Thursday evening, March | 7th at 7.30 P.M. One of the items on the agenda is a discussion on time and date of regular meetings. If you have an opinion why not attend the meeting and make your wishes known. Everybody welcome!
