GUIDER UNIFORMS URGENTLY NEEDED Mrs.J.Lang chaired the monthly meeting of the Local Association to Brownies and Guides which was held Monday evening, February 28th at the Com- munity Church. The Treasurer's report was given by Mrs.A.Farrow and minutes were read by the secretary, Mrs.K.Turner. Various convenors reported. Six brownies have been placed in different pack with three ready to go in. It was announced that six more registrations . will be accepted in March. Cookie day will be held May 9th this year re- ported Mrs.J.MacDonald. Every home will be canvassed and no orders will be taken previously. Mrs .J.Brooks requested that new Guider uniforms are a requisite as the old ones are in deplorable condition. The Mother and Daughter Brownie Banquet will be held on Marth 26 reported social convenor, Mrs. W.Kurylo. Tickets may be obtained from Mrs. Lang, Mrs.Kurylo or any Brownie Leader. Ways and Means convenor, Mrs.H.Heibert, an- nounced that the Easter Bake Sale will be held on April 9th at Caccamo's Store. Mrs.J.Mikus, rep- resentative to the Centennial Committee, reported that the Brownies and Guides are asked to take part in a project. Mrs.J.Brooks presented a taped recording of a sketch given by Brownies on the CBC recently and it was both amusing and interesting. At the close of the meeting lunch was served by Mrs.L.Duquette and Mrs.J.Brooks. The Ladies Auxiliary, Branch No.223, Canadian Legion, have postponed their meeting to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9th at the home of Mrs. L. Solly, 149A Birch Crescent. The course will be sponsored by the Terrace Bay Recreation Associa- tion and the Community Programmes Division.
