let's bring it down to earth. Canadian Council of Christians and Jews BROTHERHOOD WEEK FEBRUARY 20TH TO 27TH Next week is Brotherhood Week in Canada = and special events will be held in communities across Canada. Brotherhood Week is sponsored by the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews. The observance was begun in 1948 in a single Ontario community and has grown since until almost every major com- munity in the country participates. Most people support the idea of the brotherhood of men. Unfortunately, however, not everyone makes use of the idea as a guide to daily living. Animosities and prejudices continue to drive wedges between people. The barriers cannot be removed by legislation be- cause it is not possible to legislate changes in human nature. But it is possible to influence human 'attitudes by education. And this is where Brother- hood Week comes in. It focuses attention on those things shared in common by all races and creeds. This is a commendable effort. The more people join together in support of the objectives of human brotherhood, the quicker intolerance will fade. Everyone has something to gain from unity and a lat 'to lose because of discord. This is why every- one should support Brotherhood Week. Have you purchased your 1966 license plates yet?
