The tie-breaking game between Mary Hale's rink with Lois Shubaly, Glenna MacDonald and Yvonne Rochon and the Ann Latour rink with Inge Schmiedchen, Olive Martin and Marion Desormeau will take place at a further date. Then followed one round of curling to determine the winners of the Molsen and Las- kin Trophies. The "A" division was won by Peg Wellings with Mary Dashkewytch, Kay Wep- pler and Jeannine Desrosiers. The runner-up rink was skipped by Vivian Gresdal, with Aggie Paulsen, Marg.Knight and Gayle Rose. The "Btt division was tied and a game will be played later to declare the winner and run- ner-up. This game will be between Ollie Chapman, with Phyllis Kelty, Vera Kennedy and Dorothy Rafalant and the Dene Clancy rink with Edyth Chard, Stephie Dorman, Mar- jory Liebrock. Commencing Thursday, February 10, a single round robin will be played for club championship, the winners taking home the Canadian Oil Trophy. How about trying to make it to one? Start pre- MEN'S CURLING NEWS Local rinks continue to bring home the bacon from district bonspiels. Dan Kenney skipped his foursome to top honours in the Schreiber bonspiel last weekend. He had Len Crockford, Carl LeBlanc and Bob Roberts with him. In the third event Benny Hayes took second spot and Hec McLeod came in third. The "Sweetheart Bonspiel" has been over- subscribed. Entries have been cut off at sixteen rinks and a good weekend of curling is assured. A social will be held Saturday evening for participants and club members. | Play for the local club championship is developing into a close race.
