So far four teams have indicated that they are in contention for the British Consuls playdowns, beading to the Brier. We would like at least two more teams. There will be a small entry fee and a 2nd prize so make up a rink and sign up for some keen competition All members of the Ladies and Men's clubs and their partners are invited to the Christmas Party on Dec.I8th. Santa will attend, refreshments and lunch will be available and there is no cover charge. See you there. CURLING NEWS In regular club play the Johnson rink is shaping up as the rink to beat. Ken and his cohorts, Bob Roberts at 3rd, Butch Bouchard as 2nd and Bill Mc- Kie as lead, are unbeaten in the second round. They lost two games in the first round. Curling activities will cease on Dec .22nd until after the New Year. The rink will be available during the holidays for practice games and challenge ma ches. Games involving non-members must be Mrs.J.Smitheman was hostess for a farewell party given by the art club on honor of Mrs.J.B.Ridsdale who was recipient of some Blue Mountain pottery and their good wishes.
