Clara Gould played for the opening hymn and Mrs. Hopper read the Scriptures. Secretary's report and correspondence was read by June Schritt and Betty Turner gave the Treasurer's report. Convenors reporting were: Sick and Visiting Betty Sweet, Proper- ty Eva ifaughn, Altar Committee Alice Farrow and Ivy Pattison gave her report on the Ba- zaar and thanked everyone who helped make it a success. Gertrude Soughton reported on a meeting she had attended of the Centennial Celebrations Committee. Rev. T.Garnett dusser was introduced by the President and gave a talk entitled, "What Christmas means to me", New residents and husbands joined for the special Christmas program and were entertain- ed as the Mens? Chorus sang several lovely selections and led in a rousing singsong. A Get Acquainted Game served well to intro- duce everyone. Christmas breads and cakes were served wit tea and. coffee by a committee of Eva Haughn Phyl Kelty, Lois McMicking, Lois Hopper, and Gwen Olsen. Bible Study every first and third Sunday at 11.00 A.M, The first meeting of the month of the Catholic Girls Club was held Sunday even- ing, preceded by recitation of the Rosary and the meeting was opened with the prayer for Teenagers. The President appointed committees to convene the Christmas Party scheduled for the next meeting and suggestions were of- fered on each committee. Names were drawn for a gift exchange. Many of the ideas placed in the suggestion box were discus- sed by the girls. Following the meeting several members remained to make fudge for their candy table to be held during the Catholic Women's League Bake Sale on Saturday while the balance were entertained by a game. The Catholic Women's League will meet on Sunday evening, December 12, following the recitation of the Rosary in St.Martin's Roman Catholic Church. The annual Christ- mas Party will be held during this meeting. TERRACE BAY LEGION NOTES -- BRANCH 223 On December 10, we are holding our an- nual installation of officers.
