ADULT SKATING - Sunday evenings have been set aside for adult skating. The response has hot been too great and we extend an invitation to adults to attend these skating sessions. You do not necess- arily have to know how to skate--there are people who will help you 'along. dust ask Mrs .Marsh-- she can tell you easy it is and how much fun. If the interest increases in the sessions, we will organize régular skating parties, with coffee and snacks, to make it a real "skating party." SENIOR AND JUNIOR HOCKEY The Schreiber-Terrace Bay Junior "A" Hockey Club is setting a torrid pace in the North Shore Jr. Hockey League. They have posted a 4-0 record and are currently riding on top of the league with 10 points. They are providing hockey fans with a Qhustmas Dance + MOOSE HALL - FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17th- 9 p.m. MUSIC BY CHARLIE & HIS RAMBLERS LUNCH - DOOR PRIZE - REFRESHMENTS (sorry, no minors) TICKETS - $4 per couple Tickets on sale in Schreiber from Mickey Didura, J.Kostecki and Bill Kushnieryk. T.Paradis and B.Stachiw are running neck and neck in the scoring race. Several other big guns in the club are J.Ross, D.Pellegrino J.Macdonald and M.Mallais. This club is skating well and has a sharp defence corps and will be pret- ty hard to beat this season. Arrangements were being made to bring in the N.H.L.OLDTIMERS from the Lakehead for a game here on December l0th, but plans did not material- ize. The MERCURIES look as strong as ever and will be top contenders for the Thunder Bay Senior Cham- pionship. COMMERCIAL HOCKEY LEAGUE - will probably be comprised of three teams. One team that has sub- mitted their team entry is the High School Club. There is a possibility that the second team will be headed by T.Costa. From all reports, L.Waghorn has been burning the ice during practice and is ready to talk contract with any team interested in his services. One hold-out for this year is Jack Phillips, who has not shown up as yet for practices. A Commercial Hockey League meeting will be held Wednesday, December Ist at the Recreation Centre in the Adult Study Lounge at 7 p.m. If you are interested in playing hockey, please attend this meeting.
