GOSPEL MISSION Sunday School at 2 p.m. every Sunday DOM BAGS WINDUP BANQUET & DANCE HELD BY GOLF CLUB The Terrace Bay Aguasabon Golf Club put the final touches to a successful year by having a windup banquet and dance that was tremendously enjoyed by alll. In the absence of Jack Thomas, Thor Olsen gave a brief summary of the year's operations He also thanked the members for the good turn out and congratulated Joe Caccamo for a good job in organizing the banquet. He then cal- led on Mr.Ferrier to present, on behalf of Kimberly-Clark Corporation, a beautiful trophy to the club. This trophy will be presented to the Club Champion each year with a very impressive plaque which the win- ner will retain. In his remarks before the presentation Mr. Ferrier commented on the completion of the Course, giving a lot of credit to the volun- tary work done by members. He also expres- sed the Company's continuing interest in the club's activities and future expansion. He intimated the Company's support whenever progress necessitates a club house. The role that the Company has played to date in the building of the golf course has somewhat been taken for granted. However, the appre- ciation and recognition of the club manifes- ted itself in the hearty applause to Mr. Ferrier's remarks. A large crowd attended the dance follow- ing the banquet. FIGURE SKATING NEWS The Terrace Bay Figure Skating Club are making plans to hold an OPENING DAY TEA and SKATING SESSION early in November. Every- one is welcome. Come and bring your friends. Members of the executive will be on hand to complete registration. Membership forms will be mailed out to all old members this week. If you have any questions regarding member- ships please call Mrs.Stevens 3275, -- TWO NEW SKATING GROUPS TO BE FORMED IF THE ei DAD RRA PRE-SCHOOL GROUP - Monday or Friday afternoon ADULT GROUP - Sundays - Figure Skates not necessary. Please register at the Recreation Office if you are interested. His many friends in the district were shocked to learn of the sudden death in Sault Ste.Marie of Gordon Black. Gordon, his wife tSparky' and son Terry resided in Terrace Bay for several years. Taking a keen interest in sports and fishing, Gordon was associated with and served on the execu- tive of several organizations in the commun- ity. He was an employee of the L.C.B.0 here and at the Sault. A brother, Ray Black, his wife Carol and his father left on Sunday for the Sault to attend the funeral which, we understand, is to be held on Tuesday afternoon,
