TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED Mrs.and Mrs .Russell Macadam celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on October |9 at a reception arranged by friends in their new home on Main Street. Mrs.Macadam chose a sheath of blue lace with matching short jacket and had a corsage of white carnations tipped with silver. On behalf of friends from both Schreiber and Ter- race Bay, Mrs.George McBride presented them with a 'money tree'. The tea table was centred with a wedding cake made by Mr.Macadam's mother and iced by Mrs.Con Duggan. Serving the many callers were Mesdames Ray Sisson, Bruce Simon, David Nesbitt and Bob Harris. Mesdames Alec Gordon, H:W.Gellert, Ralph Morrill, Gary Drake and George McBride re- plenished. Mrs.Macadam's mother, Mrs.E.Dockray of Fort Cocquitlam, B.C., was here for the occasion. OFFICERS ELECTED BY CATHOLIC GIRLS CLUB Crystal Kusik was elected president of the Catholic Girls Club at their regular Sunday meeting. Retiring president Lenore O'Brien thanked the mem bers, Father Cano and Mrs.H.Shack for the support and extended good wishes to the new officers. Judy McParland and Betty McGuire volunteered to act as parish lib rary assistants during November . The pageant of the crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary was set for Oct.3l. Mr .and Mrs. Norman Glad were hosts at.a dinner party for intimate friends of Mr.and Mrs. N.J.Joli- coeur who leave shortly for a new home in Fort Wil- liam. On behalf of the others Mrs.Del Weberg of Terrace Bay presented a set of oven ware as a fare- well gift. The Evening group of St.John's Anglican Church . have set Saturday, October 30 for their Hallowe'en dessert tea and bazaar. The event will be held in the church hall from 3 - 5.
