GOSPEL MISSION Sunday School at 2 P.M. every Sunday GOLF NEWS A meeting was held by the Terrace Bay Golf Club last Thursday, July 22nd to discuss the location of the cottage which will be purchas- ed to accommodate the golf Pro. The cottage, a three-bedroom prefab build- ing which will cost approximately $3,500.,is an indication of the success which is being experienced by the local club. The building, with its neat appearance and the setting plan- ned for it, will add a great deal to the futu future layout of the club house and centre of the golf activities. The congestion at times on the Course will soon be relived by the opening of the last two holes. In the meantime slow and inexperienced players can assist to alleviate this problem by waving through faster players. There seems to be an improvement in the divot pro- blem but there are still some who ignore replacements, Let us all do our part in help--- ing to make our Course the best. Phyllis and Jack Kelty and family are home from their vacation when they motored to Winnipeg visit- ing with Esther and Steve Keller, then on to Cal- gary, Banff and Lake Windermere in Alberta. On their return they were accompanied home by Wendy Keller who will visit in Terrace Bay for ten days. Marsh and Ivy Gray and children of Port Arthur are visiting Ruth and Ross Mitchell this week. Wilma and Arnold Chadney as friends bid them adieu prior to their departure last Thursday with their daugh ters Janet and Ann to make their home in Kamloops, B.C. Wilma was entertained byher neighbours at a coffee party at the home of Peggy Regis and received a gift of Blue Mountain pottery. She was entertained also by her bridge club at the home of Helen Farrell when she also received a gift of Blue Mountain pot- tery. Wilma was guest of honor Wednesday at the home of Virginia Galvin with co-hostess Ruth Mitchell when an afternoon tea was attended by her close friends. Crystal candlelabra were presented with the best wishes of those attending. On the same oc- casion the Terrace Bay Art Club presented Wilma with a sketch pad and brushes from their members . A Stag was held for Arnold Chadney at the home of Al Pattison Tuesday evening when he received a combination thermometer-barometer from the group. Lu and Frank Ginn with Catherine and daughter Paige Legacy motored to Trenton, Ontario to attend the graduation of their son Frank in Meteorology. Frank Jr., has now been stationed by the Airforce at Gimli, Manitoba. While in the east the Ginns - visited her cousin, Mrs.Noecker, in Moorefield and continued sightseeing and camping for two weeks. Guides Valerie Turner and Margaret Jean Wallwin returned home Friday from Lundar, Manitoba where they had attended a ten day Inter-Provincial Guide Camp. They reported it a wonderful experience, meeting other Guides who had also qualified for this particular camp.
