Page 4 THE BOWLING WIND-UP HELD SATURDAY The 1964-65 Bowling season had its finale Saturday evening when 120 Terrace Bay bowlers and guests at- tended the wind-up banquet and dance in the Moose Hall. With Grace by Rev.T.G.Husser and welcome from Master of Ceremonies Clarence Buck, the re- wards of the season were awarded. Chairman Lew Edmunds did the honors on indivi- dual awards. In Ladies Five Pin League Evelyn Boutilier walked off with the entire list and contin- ved her winning ways on into the Mixed five pin league to take the Ladies hi-average. In this lea- gue Pauline Moon took the Hi single and hi-single with handicap. The men's hi-single went to Ted Stachiw and Rene Gaudet had the men's hi-single with handicap. Dot Coupal took the Ladies hi- triple with handicap and men's hi-triple went to Clarence Buck while Ray Stachiw took the men's hi~triple with handicap. The Robinson Store Award for men's high average in the mixed league was won by C .Buck and the Waghorn's Pharmacy Trophy went to Dot Coupal for ladies' high triple. Vice-President Evelyn Knauff of the Ladies Ten Pin League presented the awards. These went to Phil Kelty for high average--Evelyn Knauff for high triple and high triple with handicap and to Rhea Beaulieu for high single with handicap. Rhea also took the Costa's Foodmaster Award, presented by Tony Costa. President of the Bowling Association Lou St.Louis awarded the trophies and prizes in the Men's Five Pin League. Frank Sechesky took the high single, high single with handicap--Tony Costa got the high triple and Bill Moon the high triple with handicap. Tony Costa also won the Spadoni Brothers Award for high average. 5 Special awards found Bonnie McKay taking the Soughton Jewellers Award for the most improved NEWS bowler in the ten pin league and Hilda Hiebert received the Caccamo . Award from Joe Caccamo as most improved bowler in the Five Pin Leagues. G .McCauley of Fort William presented the Palm Dairy trophy to the Strikers, winners of the Ladies Five Pin League. Individual prizes went to each member: Evelyn Boutilier, O.Adamo, S. Stoyko, T.Gaudet, O.P Papineau and R.Garriock "Caccamoe's" won the Mixed Five Pin Lea- gue to receive the:Bow - ling Association Trophy and individual prizes. They were Jim Figlio- meni, Fay Thorsteinson, Ted and Stella Brown _and Stella Gusul. The Labatt Trophy was presented by their repre- sentative, Fred Smith, to the Handicaps, win- ners of the Ladies Ten Pin League--M.Simmer, V .Rapke, L.Harris, R. Beaulieu and A.Osmar.
