The retiring president, Rune Ostling, was Master of Ceremonies for the occa- sion, welcoming and intro- ducing the guests. Frank Sargent, the new Chairman of Dominion Curling, was given a special welcome and spoke on the tremen- dous upsurge in member- ship in Canadian curling. Rune thanked his exe- cutive of the past year and | introduced the 1965-66 Men's Curling Club execu- tive: President-Len Crock- ford, Ist Vice President - Jim MacDonald, Secretary Arnold Chadney, Treasurer Jack Caccamo, Board of Directors Jack Chapman, Joe Dejonghe, Don Tees Doug Knight, Don Hencher Hec McLeod, Trustees Ted Kostiuk, Emil Boucher and Ed Belliveau. Congratulations were extended to the Curlers and executive by John Ferrier, Mill Manager-- Reeve W.Adamo, Mayor Saul Laskin of Port Arthur. Jayne Coons, president of the Ladies Curling Club expressed appreciation for the fine relationship be- tween the two clubs and thanked her 1965 executive, introducing the incoming President as Olli Chapman.
