The seven dwarfs were Lois Ann Galvin, Marlyn MacDonald, Darlene Suo, Phillis Ann Turner, Beverley Leagult, Claudette Stevens and Kerry Wag- horn. Pamela Cumming and Terry Delaronde paired for a display of the skaters dance steps. The first guest artist, Elizabeth Hayes, was given a special welcome in her first hometown appearance after winning the N'western Ontario Jr.Ladies Championship and her applause was well-earned. A Cavalcade of Hits started with chorines Jackie Turner, J.Belliveau, C.Fawcett, Mary P.McLeod, C.West, G.Simmer, L.Cotton, P.Kelty, J.Stevens, C.Stuart with Mollie Harris as Ballerina. Rosemary Pattison twisted to 'l Want to Hold Your Hand' and another smart-stepping trio were Heather Boyd, Wend Evans-Smith and Brooke Rapke. Asia Minor was a well executed solo by the club's gallant young gentleman, Terry Delaronde. Mary P. Mcteod and Joan Belliveau were panied in a graceful "Hello Dolly.' A talented young skater, Cheryl Duncan, performed to Swan Lake. Sisters Pamela and Jamie Cumming were an appealing picture skating to 'Granada.' Lastly, and with much ado, the Ladies of the Even- ing were a hilarious interlude provided by Greg Chesley, Garo Suo, Kenny Kennedy and Don Gerow. N'western Ontario Senior Mixed Pair Champions of 1965, Donna Johnson and Sandford Jone of the Port Arthur Figure Skating Club displayed their ability and last of the program's guest artists, Miss Candice Kartinen, also from the Port Arthur Club and now N'western Ontario Sr.Ladies Champion, captivated her audience with a selection from the Nutcracker Suite. -A Tango line of quick-stepping beauties were Jame and Pamela Cumming, Brooke Rapke, Wendy Evans- Smith, Laura Hartman, Cheryl Duncan, Shirley Phillips, Molly Harris, Linda Hayes: and Heather ccwell presanted program. Considerable interest was indicated in this part of the couniry at the Chicago show and the Dept} of Tourism had requested brochures. Membership Chairman J.Commisso itemized mem- bership and iricome from fees. Cou ncillor W.E.Cavanaugh advised there would be an official flag raising ceremony April 3 when the Citizenship Commissioner would be in town and the Chamber promised to give any support needed. N.Linkewich advised he expects to open the Roxy Theatre April 25 but was having difficulty getting permission to run Sunday shows. J.Kelty presented a new membership rate structure and other minor changes in the By-Laws. Following discussion the proposed Amendment was passed for presentation to a general meeting during Chamber of Commerce week, April 4 to 10. The proposed Amendment reads as follows:- Sec.I7 - Schedule of Annual Dues to be revised as. Class | - $2 - individuals with no business interest in the community. Class 2 - $5 - Individuals operating a part time busi- ness - Service Clubs - Professionals. Class 3 - $10 - Businesses who trade in the district but whose headquarters are elsewhere. Class 4 - $15 - Small full time businesses regularly employing-up to & including three persons. Class 5 - $20 - business regularly employing four to eight persons. Class 6 - $35 - businesses or corporations regularly employing nine to fifty persons. Class 7 - $150 - Twp.of Terrace Bay and corporations employing more than fifty persons. Géction 30 - Section 42 - substitute January for Oc- tober. It is recommended that these amendments be con- sidered retroactive to Jan 1/65. Members who have already paid their dues for the current year to b e granted a rebate if the new rate structure puts them in a lower classification and if these members re- quest such a reb ate. : On Wednesday, April 7 the Chamber will conduct a tour of the Mill for all members, followed by a cocktail hour at the Hotel. The General meeting will take tie form of a dinner meeting at the Hotel the same day. Membership Chairman J.Commisso will be assisted in a membership drive by Jack Kelty and the presi- dent and Roy Bray will contact prospective members. Mr .and Mrs.Gordon Brown of Port Arthur visited their daughter, Mrs.Gary Galvin and family over the weekend. Holly Berndtsson and Janice Gross, students at Lakehead Teachers College, spent the weekend with their respective parents. Jacqueline Yates and Grant Solly who attend Northwood High in Fort William, visited with their parents over the weekend.
