DELEGATES REPORT AT CREDIT UNION MEETING Officers Night for the Terrace Bay Community Credit Union, held Saturday evening in the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel was highlighted by a display of two awards earned on the merits of their annual re- port for 1964. Presentation of the Provincial award had been made to Delegate Don Brearley and Alter- nate Ruth Mitchell when attending the Ontario Cre- dit Union Convention in Toronto the previous week. This certificate gave honorable mention, one of only three awarded. The local Credit Union pre- viously received a first place for this report from the Lakehead District Chapter. Marking their 25th Anniversary in Ontario, the Credit Union has expanded from less than 100 persons in 194] to over 600,000 members today and many points of their expansion were mentioned. As delegate, Don Brearley elaborated on the tre- mendous program completed. Having felt the need of a new look at their standards, Mr. Brearley noted the same attitude in the excellent opening speech of President, Mr.Donald Bell. Mr.Brearley dealt with many of the 25 resolutions , particularly those pertinent to the local Credit Union Report of the Board of Directors was given and re- sults of elections for League directors for 1965.
