Ea BOUDREAU FAMILY HONORED BEFORE LEAVING Ruth and Paul Boudreau with their children Greg, Jane, Ann, Ellen, Susan, Patricia and Mary Lou left Terrace Bay last week to make their home in Toronto, Prior to tneir departure 'their many friends entertained them in their homes and a party of old- timers of Terrace Bay's early days gathered at the home of Betty and Forbes Cruickshank to bid them farewell. Presenting them with a painting of a local scene, Mr.Ed Cavanaugh reminisced on their early days and many humorous incidents. Ellen Hodgkiss accompanied an impromptu singsong at the piano and the highlight of the evening occurred as Mr.W. McMicking arrived with his bagpipes. Ruth was the guest of honor at a supper bridge by her bridge club at the home of Mrs.Elsie Ostling and a purse was presented with their good wishes. Another bridge club gave her pearls and earrings i Continued next column January 7, 1965 NEWS HOWARD NICHOLL FETED ON DEPARTURE Before leaving Schreiber for Chapleau where he was transferred by the CPR, Assistant Mechanical Supervisor Howard Nicholl was pre sented with a wallet and money by his fellow employees. Mr. R. Dietrich has come from Sudbury to replace Mr. Nicholl. a Mr.and Mrs.Albert Fasan of South Procupine have returned home after spending the holidays with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr.and Mrs.O.B.Fasan. Mr.and Mrs.R.Martin are visiting in Drummond- ville and Montreal. Mr.and Mrs.Arnold O'Keefe visitied with Mr. O'Keefe"s parents, Mr.and Mrs.D.O'Keefe during the holidays. Clinton Robertson is a patient in Terrace Bay Hos- pital. Miss Marilyn Pearson was home from Nipigon to spend New Years with her parents, Mr.and Mrs. Charlie Pearson. Dale Hill has returned to Toronto after spending the flolidays with her parents, Mr.and Mrs .Ross Hill. Miss Peggy Smith, Miss Hazel Smart, Nipigon, Alec Tweedy, Geraldton, Frank Auger, Port Arthur and Diane Morgan of White River were her& to attend the New Year's Eve Ball. Miss Shirley Jartus, a student at Ryerson Institute in Toronto, spent the holidays with her pa rents, Mr.and Mrs.H.Jartus. Other guests at the Jartus home during the holiday season were Mr.and Mrs. Alan Suni and daughter Artene of Port Arthur. Arlene also visited with her grandparents, Mr.and Mrs. Nick Pelto. ------ BOUDREAUS FETED --X slumber party was held for Jane at the home of Sharon Belliveau when she was given a band and necklace. Jane was also entertained by Sharon MacDonald and Sharon St.Louis at a sliding party, returning to the St.Louis home. She received a yallet from her friends. A toboggan party was held for Ann at the home of Claudette Boudreau and her chums presented her with a gift of money. Theresa Ramsey entertained at a party for Ellen when her school friends presented her with a bracelet and Susan Whalen entertained at a party for Susan Boudreau when her friends gave her a stuffed animal. STORK CLUB 4 Born to, Mr.and Mrs.N .Jolicoeur of Schreiber, a daughter, on December 24th. Born to, Mr.and Mrs. J.DePaola of Terrace Bay, a daughter, on December 3lst. Born to Mr.and Mrs.Bergeron of Mobert, a son on January 2nd. Born to Mr.and Mrs.Paul Rochon of Terrace Bay, a daughter, on January 3rd. Born to, Mr.and Mrs. R.Cole of Terrace Bay, a son, on January 3rd.
