Please give your entries for the Turkey "Spiel to Mr. Jack Chapman, KIMBERLY-CLARK EMPLOYEES' CHARITY FUND NEEDS HELP Membership in the Kimberly-Clark Employees' Charity Fund has declined from a high of 468 mem- b ers in 1962 to a present total of 425. The percen- tage participation has declined in the same period from 84% to 81% and total contributions from $6006 to $5773. This decline is, of course, a result of people leav- ing, the Company payroll for one reason or another. Many of them were very generous contributors-- notably, an hourly paid employee who was donating $10 per month. The full effect of the reduced membership will not be felt until next year and unless this loss is made up | by enrolling some of the 100 employees who are not members and by increased contributions from present members, an "across the board" reduction will have to be made in the 1965 budget. This, at a time when charitable organizations in the "service" field are trying to maintain their standards of service in the face of rising costs, organizations dedicated to the eradication. of disease are in need of more funds for research, and the sick, hungry and homeless people in the world need help. In the next few weeks the KC-ECF Board of Direc- tors will conduct a campaign to increase membership and contributions. All employees will be contacted either in person or by form letter and will be asked either to join or to consider increasing their con- tributions. The 1964 Financial Statement appears elsewhere in this issue of the News. Look it over. Surely each of the sixteen organizations (Continued Page 4)
