PULP AND PAPER SPECIALTY GROUP MEET IN TERRACE BAY Last week, on the occasion of their final meeting for 1964, members of the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association Specialty Paper Group convened at the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel. Chairman for the meeting was Jim Jessup of the K.V.P.Company. Hugh Carruthers represented Kimb erly-Clark, the host Company, and lan Chenoweth and Duncan Robertson attended on behalf of C.P.P.A. Other members of the group at the meeting were G.D.F.Symons - Domtar Pulp and Paper, Montreal; J.D.Fitzgerald - Garden City Paper Mills, Toronto; W.C.R.Jones - E.B.Eddy Co., Hull; J.R.Leslie - Consolidated Paper Company, Quebec; A.W. Harrison - Dominion Cellulose Limited, Weston. Representatives from the Crown Zellarzach, Abitibi and Scott Paper Companies were unable to attend. The agenda for the meeting included a general review of trade statistics, exports and imports, and domestic volume reports for converting and sanitary papers. Also included was a tour of the Kimberly- Clark Mill and the southern portion of the wood- lands operation. On Wednesday evening at a banquet in the Ter- race Bay Motor Hotel, the visitors were welcomed by Mill Manager, John Ferrier. Also in attendance for the occasion were superintendents from the Mill and from the Woodlands Division. October 8, 1964 PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, at a meeting of the Council of the Cor- poration of the Township of Terrace Bay, held on September 22nd, 1964, it was resolved "that the week of October 5th to Wth be, and the same is hereby fixed as FIRE PREVENTION WEEK for the current year and that the Reeve be authorized to publish the usual proclamation therewith. " These are, therefore, to make known that in com- pliance with the foregoing resolution | do hereby proclaim the week of October 5 to 10th as FIRE PREVENTION WEEK for the year 1964, of which all persons are hereby requested to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.
