"COSTAS" INTER-TOWN CHAMPIONS z " fast team added another champion- ship to the list by defeating the Schreiber champs in a best 2 of 3 series for the Inter-town Championship. The winners receive the Bootery Trophy, representa- tive of the championship of the Terrace Bay Schreibe fastball leagues. All three games in the finals were tight affairs, with neither team having too much edge. Evidence of this was the score of the final game won by "COSTAS" - 1-0. Terrace Bay had three hits to Schreiber's two in the contest. The locals' only run was a result of a home run hit by Fern MacLeod in the 6th inning. Due to the success of this inter-town rivalry, executives from both towns plan an inter-town league next year, with hopes of having three teams from each town active. It appears that fastball is returning to prominence as a local sport. MINOR BALL UNIFORMS y players holding uniforms from Little League All-stars, Pony League All-stars or American League All-stars are urged to return these to the Recreation Office immediately. It was hoped that further games might be arranged for these teams, but interest in other towns has waned to the point that they cannot field teams. Return your uniform immediately.
