Page 8 1 WOMEN OF THE MOOSE MEET The Women of the Moose held their Chapter Night Wednesday, September 2nd. Senior Regent Ann Didura opened the meeting with Recorder Alice Yates reading the minutes and correspondence. Balloting took place on two new Home Chapter members with enrolment to take place, Wednesday, October 7th. Senior Regent Didura and Graduate Regent Jackie Calder will be sent to the Convention in Timmins. The Fashion Show was discussed with the date set for September 17th, with fashions by Walkers of Fort William. The meeting closed with the Publicity Committee in charge of a Penny Auction and raffle, and a delicious lunch was served. SWIM POOL HOURS For the balance of the swimming season, which will be dependent upon the weather, the swimming pool hours will be as follows: Weekdays - 4 to 6 p.m - open swimming - 6 to 8 p.m. - 15 yrs. and over. COMING MONDAY = TUESDAY - SEPTEMBER 14 and ISTH ANNUAL AUTUMN = COAT PROMOTION NEW STYLES AT VALUE PRICES FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY WATCH FOR THE SPECIAL FLYER !! MANY PRIZES GIVEN AT SCHREIBER FIELD DAY Despite inclement weather the field day sponsored by the Catholic Women's League was attended by a large crowd who moved from the ball park to the Arena. Children's races were won by: Anne Stokes, Bruce Hiller, Danny Power, Patricia McGrath, Rhonda Campbell, Sheliy Souliere, Paddy Stokes, Brent Kirby, Bruce Miller, Rae Sisson, Debbie Fadden , Janice Paradis, lan Fummerton, Kevin Kirby, Billy Souliere, Anne DePerry, Linda Single- ton, Denise Parris, Mark Stokes, David Bedard, Michael Souliere, Susan Johnson, Carol Webb, Kathy Bottomley, Bill Hiller, Kim Gellert, Bob Fummerton, Diane Singleton, Margaret Bortuski, Ruth Fadden, Bob Fummerton, Stan Spadoni, Bill Hiller, lan Topolinski, Chris Langg and Tony Speziale. Amateur Contest was won by Kathy Stokes, Anne- marie McGrath, junior and Crystal Kusik and Aline Bedard seniors. Judges were Mrs. J.D. Bryson, Mrs. W.G. Furlonger and Mrs. H. Hill. HERE AND THERE Mr. and Mrs. George Duncan of Fort William spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Simon, visiting other old friends. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Paske and family visited over the weekend with relations and old friends . Carl Pearson and Terry Paradis will attend Selkirk High School this year and Lloyd McLellan wi I! return to Lakeview High. Mr. and Mrs. George Moore have taken an apartment in Fort William for the winter and will leave their camp at the end of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Squit¢of Port Arthur were down for the weekend bringing Mrs. Paul Shelton af Columbus Ohio, with them. Mrs. Shelton flew over to visit her sister, Mrs. E.J.Sheehan, who is in McKellar Hospital . Sheila Jartus left on Saturday night for Toronto where she will attend Ryerson Institute, taking an Arts Course and majoring in Home Economics and Fashion Design. COMMENCEMENT SCHREIBER HIGH SCHOOL SATURDAY, SEPT. 12th 7:30 P.M. GYM AUDITORIUM All parents and citizens are cordially invited to attend these ceremonies and also the Grand Ball to be held afterwards. Parents will have an opportunity to meet the staff, 1964-65, at the school.
