TEST RESULTS SPECTACULAR Results of the Swim Tests at the Terrace Bay Pool were the highest ever this year, with 310 people receiving awards for successful passes. This means that over 85% of those taking final tests passed, placing Terrace Bay second in Northwestern Ontario for highest pass percentage. PAUL DAKIN WINS DURIEZ TROPHY Twelve year old Paul Dakin b ecame the first winner of the Tommy Duriez - Memorial Trophy, presented Friday night at the Awards Programme. Donat- ed by Mr.and Mrs. Henry Duriez from a fund provided by friends, in memory of Tommy, the Trophy is emblematic of the top all-round swimmer in Terrace Bay. Points are given for swimming ability, awards attained, performance at Swim Meets, volunteer pool assist- ance, behaviour at the pool, swimming improvement and class attendance. Any local swimmer under 21 whee is a member of the Programme is eligible. Memb ers of the. Pool Staff are not eligible. In all, ten names were considered, with Paul being the final choice.
