HERE AND THERE IN SCHREIBER Anne Noon has returned after a long holiday spent with relations in Pake Placid, N.Y., and in Toronto | Cheryl Everitt is visiting in Toronto and will enter university in Montreal this Fall. Flt. Lieut. B.H.Wraith, Mrs.Wraith and rath family have returned to Moncton, N.B., after spend ing the summer with Mr.and Mrs.Jack Noona, here and at camp at Caver, and with other relatives in Fort William. Mr .and Mrs .Eugene Tremblay, 'also visiting the Noonan's have returned home to Toronto. Judy McParland and Linda Connelly return to St. Joseph's College in North Bay this week. Mrs.J.D.McCoshern visited her daughter, Mrs. Hilary O'Brien enroute home to Fort William from Montreal . Mrs.J.G .Molinski has returned to Vancouver after attending the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Walter llijow. Mr.Ilijow accompanied Mrs .Molinski to visit with h er family. Miss Joyce Giddings of Nipigon was here to at- tend Mrs.Ilijow's funeral on Tuesday, visiting later with old friends. Mrs.John Cavanaugh of Detroit and Mrs.Jim Riordon of Coppercliffe have been visiting their brother Charlie Holmes and family. Angus MacDonald of Vancouver was here last week visiting old cronies of his railroading years. Patsy Huminicki and Shirley Holmes are away on a camping trip in the district, visiting friends in var- ious centres. Mr .and Mrs.Allan Nelson leave this week to spend their vacation in eastern cities in both the States and Canada. Mrs.C.L.Sharp, daughter Beverley and son Rus- sell, of Geraldton, camped at Rainbow Park and visited also with Mr.and Mrs.Jack Johns'on. WEDDING VOWS EXCHANGED IN ORILLIA. A marriage of local interest took place in the Church of the Guardian Angels, Orillia, Ontario, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 15th, when Joan Cath erine, daugh ter of Mrs .Rolland and the late Mr.George J.Rolland, b ecame the bride of Peter Anthony, son of Mr.and Mrs. Wm. Adamo of Terrace Bay. Monsignor F.K.Lee officiated at the ceremony and the groom's sister, Miss Edith Adamo sang "On This Day" and "Panis Angelicus" Ave Marie. She was accompanied by Mr.George Travis of Orillia. Given in marriage by her eldest brother, Ronald, the bride wore a full length gown of silk organza over satin, accented with Alen- con lace and seed pearls, terminating in a chapel train. An orange blossom crown held a silk illusion veil and she carried a cascade of pink sweetheart roses and stephanotis. Main of honor was Miss Joanne Rolland, a niece of the bride and bridesmaids were the Misses Mary Walton, cousin of the bride, Catherine Rolland, a niece, Cecilia Adamo, sister of the groom and Mrs.Jack Nemchin. Flower girls were Maureen Rolland, a niece of the bride and Karen Fabbro, a niece of the groom. The bridesmaids were gowned alike in heavenly blue street length gowns of peau de soie, styled with bateu necklines and three quarter sleeves. The flower girls wore white silk organza over heavenly blue peau de soie. The attendants carried white baskets of pink and white shasta daisies and their headdressed were miniature pill boxes accented by blue stephanotis. The flower girls wore circlets of blue stephanotis. The best man was Mr.Eugene Adamo, brother of th e groom and ush ers were Sergio Fabbro, Mark Rolland, Lou Rolland and Doug Rolland. For an afternoon reception at the Callons and later reception at the Birch mere Hotel the bride's mother chose a turquoise dress in Chantilly lace with matching feather h at, white accessories and a corsage of pink roses. The bridegroom's mother was in a blue lace ensemble with matching accessories and her flowers were pink EY Page |3 Miss Mary Cosgrove of Niagara-on-the Lake has been the guest of her sister, Mrs.A.Verdoni, visiting also with her brother Austin and family. Mr .and Mrs.Lloyd Walker and family visited in the Soo last week. Mrs.J.E.Sheehan was taken by ambulance from Terrace Bay Hospital to one at the Lakehead. A very happy family party was held in the Harry Hart home recently when Dr.D.A.Hart and family of Aurora, Ontario visited here and were joined by the men's mother, Mrs.Margaret Hart of Port Arthur . Mr .and Mrs.Russell Macadam are visiting in Toronto with Mr.and Mrs.Albert Dejeet (Sharon Macadam) . Patricia McParland, who is entering St.Joseph's School of Nursing in Port Arthur, was entertained by 30 of the younger set who met at Sylvia Harness' home for a barbecue supper and later danced in the house . Mr.and Mrs.Allan Holmes and baby daughter have returned to Winnipeg where Allan attends Univer- sity, after spending the summer with Mr.and Mrs. Edwin Holmes. Jim McCuaig has returned to Toronto after spend- ing two months with his grandparents, Mr.and Mrs. Lester McCuaig. Mrs Orville Davidson of Port Arthur has just re- turned home after visiting Mrs.Harry Jewell. Jim Ford visited his sister, Mrs.Henry Davis in Fort William this week. Mrs.M.Doyle of Toronto is visiting her mother, Mrs .S.Potvin. Mr.and Mrs .Cyril Sparkes have taken their three grandchildren, who spent the summer with them, back to Halifax and will continued on for their vacation., Julie Bjkerlund of Fort William was the guest of Mrs .Bob Wood last week. For a honeymoon trip to the Poccono Mountain in Pennsylvania the bride wore an ensemble of turquoise linen with accessories of burnished brown hat, gloves shoes and purse. The newlyweds will reside at 5950 Bathurst Street, 'Willowdale, Ontario. Out of town guests included Dr.and Mrs.Wm.Walton and fami ly, West Hartford, Conn., Miss Marcella MacDonald, West Hartford, Mr.and Mrs.Leonard LaFrance and family, Toronto, Mr.and Mrs. Joseph DiPasquale and family, Sault Ste.Marie, Mr.Peter Adamo, Sr., Sault Ste.Marie, Miss Liela 'Boniferro, Sault Ste.Marie, Mr.and Mrs.Harry Connor, Pembroke, Miss Joan Randall of Toronto, Miss Mary Quinn of Toronto, Mr.P.Ciaschini of Sault Ste.Marie and Mrs.Amelia Fabbro, Sault Ste.Marie.
