SINKINS Funeral services for the late Alexander Whyte Rennie Sinkins, who passed away suddenly Saturday, May 9th, 1964, were con- ducted Wednesday afternoon in the Terrace Bay Community Church by Rev. T. Garnett Husser. tIt has been a privilege for the people of this community to know Alex - for he liked people - people in every walk of life", spoke Rev. Husser as he described the friendly and busy way of life Mr. Sinkins has led, active in his Lodge and commmnity works, helping those who needed help, leaving a cherished memory for al who knew hin. Pallbearers were Harry Coe, Harold Marsh, Albert Farrow, Ted Brown, Ken Weppler and Roland Scowen. Interment was in the Terrace Bay Cemetery with Graveside Prayers by Rev. Husser. A Memorial Service was held by the Terrace Bay Lodge No. 662 A.F. & A.M. conducted by Worshipful Master E.B. Young and other Officer Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock in Gawleys . Funeral Home in Schreiber. Mr. Sinkins had been a Past Master in the Masonic Order. Worthy Matron A. Fraser and Acting Worthy Patron A. Farrow and Officers held a Memorial . Service of the Order of Eastern Star at 7:30, . Tuesday evening for Mr. Sinkins. He had been the Worthy Patron at the time of his demise. Mr. Sinkins had been a member of the Lodge Perceptory No. 70 of Fort Frances and of. the Khartum Shrine A.A.O.N.M.S. of Winnipeg. He was an adherent of the Terrace Bay Community, Church. Local 665. Born May 16th, 1903 in Aberdeen, Scotland, Mr. Sinkins came to Canada in 1913 with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Sinkins, settling in Cobalt, Ontario. He was married on January 3lst, 1924 to the former Agnes Gail McWilliam, living in Toronto before going to the Red Lake District in 1937. Employed as a hoistman he worked for the McKenzie Island Goldmines and the Cocheneur Willans Goldmines. Coming to Terrace Bay in 1951, Mr. Sinkins began his employment with Kimberly-Clark Corporation as a Guard before transferring to their Warehouse. Mr. Sinkins is survived by his wife Agnes, son Alexander James of Kenora, daughter Elizabeth, Mrs. Don Anderson of Dryden, five grandchildren, two brothers William of Toronto and Jack in Vancouver and sister Jessie, Mrs Max Flockhart of Rexdale. From out-of-town for the funeral services were his son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Alex J. Sinkins of Kenora, daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson of Dryden, sister-in-la' Mrs. H. Graham of Toronto, brother-in-law, Mr. Albert McWilliam of New York, Mrs. George Hall and Mr. and Mrs. H. McLellan of Port Arthur, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Zulesky, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marcino, Mr. Walter Zdep and Mr. Charlie Manson all of Kenora.
