The game on Sunday in Warroad was a decisive victory for Warroad with a 12 - 3 tally. On Monday night the final game was a closer contest but again Warroad won 4= 3. LADIES AUXILIARY TO CANADIAN LEGION The Ladies Auxiliary fo the Canadian Legion, Branch 223, held a general meeting on March 18th. minutes were read by Jean Fisher, Secretary and the Treasurer's Report given by S. Gusul. Mrs. H.Solly and Mrs. Jean Fisher were named as delegates to the district meeting in Geraldton on April 11th. A vote of thanks was passed to all Legion members and their wives for helping at the Bake Sale. Steak Knives donated by Mrs.Solly were won by Mrs . Polachuck. At the close of the meeting a Penny Auction was held and lunch was served. LADIES CURLING CLUB NEWS The local ladies continued their winning ways in out-of-town bonspiels. During the last weekend the Peg Wellings rink of A. Latour, B. Bouchard and A.Sinkins, won the fourth event of the Ladies Lakehead International Bonspiel in which 88 rinks participated. The ladies are now proud possessors of new portable radios. The ladies afternoon curling finished their sche~ dule last Wednesday. Winners of the Molson Trophy are the A.Sinkins foursome of E.Shivas, M.Crawford and O. Martin. Congratulations ladies! Plans for the annual bonspiel are nearing comple- tion. The limit of thirty-two rinks has already been reached and we have a waiting list. A successful 'spiel is assured once again.
