EXTRA ¢ @ ADMISSION D5€ card NEW DEMOCRATIC CLUB MEET At a meeting of the Schreiber, Terrace Bay New Demcoratic Club held last week, it was noted that Douglas Fisher, M.P. had donated the sum of twenty dollars from his own per- sonal funds, towards defraying the cost of the rental of the Schreiber High School Audi- torium, which had been set at $35.00. Mr. Fisher stated that it would be his policy to use the additional salary now paid to members of Parliament to enable him to spend more time in his riding, to appear at more meetings and to give more television reports to his constituents. He reported that he would be back in Terrace Bay and Schreiber again early in February before the session begins 6m the 18th of that month. A letter was read from Mrs. H.Shack Diocesan League Magazine Convenor, stating that although the League had a membership of 78,297 in Ontario, only 8,798 subscribed to the magazine. A drive is being made to enroll all members. Father Cano explained the proposed changes in the sacred Liturgy. Standing convenors reported as follows:- Mrs.S.Kusyk, Spiritual--time for the dis- cussion club is changed to 8 p.m.--meeting every second Tuesday: Mrs.H.Prescott, Citizenship--one member took Kindergarten for thirty hours--one spent three hours packing Christmas hampers--three members are on the March of Dimes committee: Mrs. Shack, Catholic Girls' Club--fifty-five members attended the Xmas dinner & Social: Mrs .Stefurak, Brownies--the packs held a joint ceremony--two Golden Bars and one Golden Hand were presented. Mrs .Shack asked members to save clean, discarded nylons for the collection February 8th. Mrs. J. Caccamo reported there are now 213 members, an increase of forty-three over last year. Mrs.Cataford urged that members again save labels. A pantomime was presented with Mrs .Cocks as reader and a cast of Miss P. Quinlan, Mesd.C .Dug- gan, G.Gauthier, J.Caccamo, R.C.Campbell, M.
