Small and Mrs. L. Hiller thanked those who had worked at the recent bingo. Mrs. McCuaig, retiring President, thanked all the Committees who had supported her. The joint Installation supper for the Legion and Auxiliary is being held January 18th in the Legion Hall at 6.00 P.M. for members only followed by a cabaret evening when guests may be invited. Mrs. Small and Mrs. B. Paradis will convene the dinner with Mrs. B. Lidkea doing the head table decoration. A mystery bingo was-planned for January 31st. Mrs. R. Macadam reported on the Children's Christmas Party and thanked those who had worked at it. 1964 RED CROSS CAMPAIGN QUOTE ESTABLISHED The national campaign objective of the Canadian Red Cross Society for 1964 will be $6,443,492. The figure is 1.4 percent or $89,230 more than the 1963 figure. 1964 Executive of the Ladies Auxiliary LADIES AUXILIARY HOLD ANNUAL MEETING The Ladies Auxiliary of the Community Church held their annual meeting January 6th, chaired by the retiring President, Mrs. S. Lundberg. The meeting opened with a hymn accompanied at the piano by Mrs. A. Chisholm and Mrs. R. Downey con ducted the worship period. Minutes of the' previous meeting were read by Mrs. J. Farrell and Mrs. Chisholm gave the Treasurer's report. Annual reports were heard from Mrs. H. Coe, Sick & Visiting; Mrs. R. Harris, Publicity; Mrs. H. Haughn, Property; Mrs. Downey, Program & Lunch Convenor. Mrs. A. Farrow reported for the Manse Committee on the rugs purchased. The matter of increasing insurance on Manse furnishings was discussed and will be investigated. Mrs. Lundberg advised that a gift with the best wishes of the Auxiliary was sent to Mrs. Irene Goodfellow, a Past President, who is leaving Terrace Bay shortly. Mrs. Harris reminded members of the World Day of Prayer which will take place on February 14th. Mrs. Lundberg extended thanks to the executive and members for their co-operation during her term of office as President and gave her best wishes to the Auxiliary. The Nominating Committee presented their slate of officers as follows:- President, Mrs. V. Hopper; Vice-Pres. Mrs. H. Coe; Secretary Mrs. J. Schritt; Treasurer Mrs. A. Chisholm; Sick & Visiting Mrs. F. Sweet; Ways & Means, Mrs. R. Harris; Property Mrs. H. Haughn; Social Convenors Mrs. L. Phillips and Mrs. E. Knight; Program Convenors Mrs. R. Downey and Mrs. J. Farrell. Before conducting the election, Rev. T. Garnett Husser expressed appreciation for the concern the Auxiliary has shown for the Minister, his wife and family, to the Manse Committee for the excellent job and he also thanked the Auxiliary for the rug installed in the Manse. A motion was made and accepted that the report of the Nominating Committee be received and there being no further nominations Rev. Husser extended his congratulations to the new executive and stated that he was available for advice or help at any time. The installation ceremony was then conducted by Rev. Husser_ and lunch served by the Past Executive.
