Starting Thursday evening and continuing non-stop through Friday and Saturday morning- Don Colborne and Fern McLeod remained on their feet to beat the exciting record of a little over 34 hours set at the Lakehead by at least 45 minutes. The Old Curling Lounge at the Recreation Centre was jammed to capacity during most of the endurance contest as both adults and children encouraged the participants.
