Due to the Thanksgiving weekend, the regula monthly meeting of the Catholic Women's League will be postponed until Sunday, October 20th. NAVY_LEAGUE ELECT OFFICERS "he Annual meeting of the Navy League was held on Thursday evening, October 3rd, in the Recreation Centre's meeting room, chaired by | arnold McKechnie. The new executive for the 1963-64 year will be President - Paul Coupal, Vice President = Mike Chepelsky, Secretary Treasurer = Marnie Cumming, Publicity and Finance - Win McKechnie, Member at Large - Alice Chepelsky. Ways and Means of financing for the coming year was discussed. Following the party supper the girls all went to the movie, A joint party was held on Saturday to celebrate the tenth birthday of Joan and eleventh birthday of Joyce Belliveau. Each invited four girlfriends and sister Sharon assisted with games after the party supper until they all left for the movie. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gendron left on Thursday for their home in Dalhousie, New Brunswick, having been guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. Beaulieu during the past week. Mrs. Irene Wise of Fort William, Zone Distributor for Beauty Counsellor products and Gladys Pederson, Section Distributor were in town last week training Mrs. Teresa Gaudet of Terrace Bay and Mrs. Gladys Anderson of Schreiber. Mrs. Stella Brown of Terrace Bay has been appointed district representative of the Company. HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY NEWS One or two carloads of manure wiil arrive at the siding from White River shortly. This will be available to members of the Terrace Bay Horticultural Society who submit their name and request to either Ab Farrow or Ken Turner.
