LONG-TIME LEADER OF NURSERY SCHOOL The whole-hearted devotion of her small charges has been Mrs.Bill Glad*s only, but richly satisfying recompense for twenty-nine years as leader of the United Church Nurseryv school and only love of sma]] children could induce anyone to undertake the task of holding: their interest and harnessing their boundless energy during the time their relieved parents enjoy the morning service. Naturally, the story-telling period is the one most enjoyed as eyes and ears raptly fol- low Mrs.Glad*s dramatic presentation. Of course each child interprets the story in relation to his own small world and, when re-telling it uses his own language. Some fond parents cheerfully admit they would rather miss a world series game than a re-telling of 'Mrs.Glad's story'. Some ver- sions have become prized anecdotes. One of the really colorful ones, told by the lad at the good-guys - bad-guys age, was of Pontius Pirate who got his gang together and kidnapped Our Lord and hanged him in Calgary. The new carrier system carries 1800 conversations at the same time over the co-axial tube. Here Mr. Forster explained the word "sampling" device which measures space betwee the speaker's words at 6,000 times a second. Where too long a space appears, that conversa tion is automatically switched to another channel, so imperceptibly, that he cannot be aware of it.
