THE SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Mr. and Mrs. Frank Raven and their sons will visit with Mr.and Mrs. Russell Macadam this week, en- route to Montreal . : _ This will be the first time the two men have been together since they met twenty years ago in Neep- awa when Russell was with the RCAF and Frank with the RAF. Mr .and Mrs.John Gagnon attended the three-day re-union of the Canadian Railway Corps #1 held in Port Arthur last week. John is an engineer out of Schreiber now. Mr. and Mrs. E.T.Murphy visited their daughter Mrs; Bernard Paradis and her family enroute to Fort William after visiting Mr.Murphy's boyhood home in Lancaster, N.B. Mrs.Alex McCuaig, Katy and Donald of Cochrane are visiting this week with Mr.and Mrs.L.R.McCuaig Mr .and Mrs.Bob Wood and Mr.and Mrs .Neil Ross spent their vacation together motoring in Southern, Ontario. Rev.and Mrs. R.J.Inshaw have returned from Toronto where Mr.Inshaw attended the Anglican Church Congress. Mrs .Jack Winters has received word that Joanne Carlisle of Port Arthur and well known in Schreiber and Terrace Bay, in Baton competition at the Toronto C.N.E., received a First in Fancy Strutt (with Banner and Trophy) = third in Military Strutt and second in Pairs with her partner Bob Markall. Bob also received a second in solo work. Anna Fummerton and Janet Clemens were sent by the local Branch to take the professional track and field training sponsored at the Lakehead by the Royal Canadian Legion. Mr. and Mrs.Eddy Grant and family of Nobel are the guests of the Wesley Clemens family, visiting also other old friends here. Mrs.Grant, nee Blance Sedgwick, made many friends while on the Staff of the high school and is continuing her interest in edu- cation as a member of the Liberal Committee for furthering education. Mr.and Mrs .Frank Chleszezyk with Teddy, Walter and Theresa of Danville, Quebec visited with Mr. and Mrs.J.P.Gagnon last week. Mr .and Mrs.Paul Pritchett of Downey, California with Karen and Lance visited with Mr.and Mrs. Bill Lidkea, Mrs. Henry Davis and Jim Ford last week Mrs'Frank Grover and daughter Dawn of Prince Rupert, B.C., are visiting Mr.omd Mrs.Tony Speziale and Mr.and Mrs.Greg McLellan. Mrs .Walter Ilijow has returned from visiting her son and family in Nipigon, bringing Danny and Gloria home with her. Visiting with Mr.and Mrs.Alex Furyk have been Mr .and Mrs.Garry Mysyk and family of Emerson, Manitoba - Mr.and Mrs .Peter Skoropad and Johnny Wiwcharyk of Port Arthur. Terrace Bay and Schreiber scouts enjoyed a joint camp-out at Sand Lake this summer from the "8th to 25th of the month, having the annual Mother's Day event on the 22nd. Mrs.Lilyan Christie, Peter Christie and Linda Handel spent the weekend at camp in White River. Roly Martin leaves this week to rejoin his wife who is visiting relations in Drummondville, Quebec. Each year we look forward to seeing these fra- gile little creatures as they gother nectar from a stand of delphinium outside of our dining room win- dows.
