SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Friends and relatives gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Con MacDonald Wednesday evening in celebration of their Twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. A corsage of white rOses was given to Mrs. MacDonald and the guests of honor received a silver carving set and pair of wall plaques from those attending. A three-tier bridal cake,decorated with white and silver roses and topped with a sprayed silver rose, centered the dining table. Daughters Brenda Campbell and Dorothy Kenney were party hostesses and after an enjoyable evening of dancing, a buffet supper was served when the hostesses were assisted by Steffie Dorman. YVONNE _COMEAU WEDS RAYMOND THERIAULT St. Martin's Roman Catholic Church was arranged with bouquets of summer flowers for the wedding Saturday morning, August 17th when the Very Rev. Dean E.A. Gallagher united in marriage Yvonne Comeau and Raymond J. Theriault The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Benoit Comeau of Terrace Bay and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Theriault of New Brunswick. Altar boys were Philip Comeau, brother of the bride, and Edmond Belliveau uncle of the bride. Presiding at the organ was Mrs. E. Pineault and soloist was Miss Margaret Ann Pineault. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full length gown of white lace and net over satin. ' crystals featuring a square neckline, was | complemented by long tapered sleeves forming lily points over the hands. The full skirt | was bouffant over crinolines. A tiny crown of | crystals caught the chapel veil of illusion net and she wore earrings and necklace of | crystals. She carried a bouquet of white carnations with yellow roses caught with streamers knotted with lily of the valley. Attending the bride were her cousins Irene They chose ballerina length gowns of lace over taffeta, slim fitted bodices enhanced by bouffant skirts and elbow length sleeves. Miss Stuart was in yellow and Miss Belliveau in soft blue. They wore white accessories and flowered headdresses held tiny veils. They carried cascades of shasta daisies. Groomsmen were John Comeau, brother of the bride and John Theriault, brother of the groom. Ushering the guests were Paul Rochon, uncle and Emile Comeau brother of the bride. F$r the afternoon reception held at the Moose Hall, Mrs. Comeau received in a gown of beige lace over taffeta, white accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Assisting, the groom's Mother chose a dress of blue linen with lace jacket worn with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. ' The toast to the bride was proposed by Raymond Belliveau, and Mrs. R.M. Dakin cut the wedding cake. Dining room hostess was Mrs. J. Corrigan assisted by Mrs. Da'sin and Mrs. P, Rochon.
